Don't Get The Wrong Camera Batteries, You Could Regret It Later. If you don't have the right batteries in your camera it can spell disaster. I once had a friend who bought a new camera and put normall aa batteries in it. It lasted about 5 minutes. Literrally! So it's important you know what batteries your camera is designed to use. That's where this article comes in. When it comes to buying camera batteries, I think i'm jinxed. I have recently got myself a really nice digital camera, and I love it. The only thing I didn't realise was that I have to have special batteries for it. It is not recommended that I use normal AA for it, and even if they did, experience tells me that it would never work. AA batteries always seem to die in about an hour or less in a digital camera anyway, so it would jjust be a waste of money. The instructions that came with my camera recommens two different types of batteries, so I decided to go with the first one that I could find. It was a good well known brand, and it seemed to be a common choice of battery. I noticed that this particular type was made by many different companies, so I didn't expect them to be hard to find when it came to replacing them. It was my husband who actually found the camera batteries that I needed. He even found a rechargeable version that came with an adaptor so I could charge the battery in my car and not have to buy new ones each time. The price was pretty good for the quailty I was getting, so I took it home and put it on charge over night. The camera batteries worked great, and they charged completely in about two hours after the first overnight charge which was far better than I was expecting. What's more, they lasted far longer than the AA ever would. So when I went on vacation this year, I decided it would be a good idea if I got some extra rechargeable camera batteries, this way I wouldn't be left without a camera while waiting for my batterry to charge. I went back to the store where I bought the first rechargeable and was told that they didn't have any more. I didn't panic until I had been into five more stores looking for my specific camera batteries and came home empty handed. I couldn't believe it I later found out they had discontinued the camera batteries that I need. They still make them in the disposable version, but I wasn't going to be able to find another of this type that I could recharge. So this means that I either spend a lot of money buying disposable camera batteries for the life of my camera or I have to switch to the other type my camera will take. I also have to invest in a new charger all over again just so I can have a spare rechargeable. To top all this off, my youngest daughter thought it would be funny to hide the charger I have for my current battery, so I can't even use that now. And just aty the point point to get my digital camera out, wouldn't you know I've seen a rainbow, my daughter colored herself with marker all over her face, arms, and legs, and we had Thanksgiving dinner with family all within the last twenty-four hours. So much for saving the memories hey. With the internet at our disposal it isn't hard to find virtually any camera battery you are looking for, so hop on-line, shop around and you'll be amazed at not only the choice, but the amount of money you can save by buying on the net. |
